Blank Canvas

A blank canvas stand
After all the colors were mixed
And all of the portraits hung in place
None seemed to suffice
Or capture the artists true intent
None gathered the truth or warmth of her spirit
How could they?
She barely knew herself
After all the amateurs attempted to paint
She was left alone
A blank canvas that stands
By a window in her house
Its brightness catches the light
The colors find a home
She paints the window of her soul
With a word from Him alone
A love that’s everlasting
A love that man has never shone
